Recreational Soccer Program

The recreational league currently consists of teams from U5-U19. The CYSA’s direction is not to focus on winning at all costs. The primary emphasis is on learning the game of soccer and providing a good quality, safe experience for the players. This is fulfilled by building a player’s soccer technique and skills in a low-pressure competition program with a common set of rules with an emphasis on fun and good sportsmanship. In recreational soccer, all players will play at least 50% of the game.

U5-U10
U5-U10 play all games in Coppell at Wagon Wheel Park.

U11 and above
The U11 and older divisions play games in the GLASA league or Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League (NMCSL), where a combination of many associations come together to play recreational soccer. Normally each season, CYSA teams in these age divisions will have 5 home games in Coppell and 5 away games.  For more information about directions to playing fields and field conditions for away games, please visit the GLASA website or the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League website. If you are a CYSA coach in these leagues and have a question or concern, please contact your commissioner.
